5.0 star star star star starDr. Paguia is very thorough and truly cares about you as a patient. He explains why he checks certain blood tests and what impact the results have. He is very personable and talking with him makes you feel better. I have been more than satisfied with Dr. Paguia and would recommend him to anyone needing an infectious disease doctor.

5.0 star star star star starHe actually turned to face me in the front I was with on his stool. After we were finished with all the office business he actually turned for a few minutes to chat with us. We were so flawed and appreciative. Almost unheard of these days.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Paguia is outstanding. He spent a lot of time with me, listened to me, explained my case the best way anyone can understand (COVID), & answered my questions. He told me that he spoke with an accent and he talked fast, but his accent was not hard to understand at all. My mind is slower to understand most people these days, so I did appreciate the heads up that he can talk fast. Personally I don’t think he needs to even mention his accent to patients. (We all have accents.) Saying he can sometimes speak fast is saying enough. To be clear, it didn’t offend me that he mentioned his accent. It just made me a little sad that he felt he had to give other people a heads up that he had one. He’s a very kind, caring man and it shows. Excellent personality. Very upbeat and hopeful. Thank you, Dr. Paguia.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
