1.0 star star_border star_border star_border star_borderDr Thakker, kept cutting me off while I tried to explain my symptoms and why I was there quickly trying to prescribe me different medications that had nothing to do with the real reason I was there. I have gone three times with the same issue the last six months and have followed everything he said (even tho all he said was to take vitamin D which obviously isn’t helping the larger issue) I had to firmly advocate for myself and make him address my health issues and basically refuse to leave till he gave me a real potential treatment to help. He then threw in a comment about having to monitor for thyroid cancer without explaining why then ended the appointment which is obviously frightening. No text or panels done. I would recommend this location for simple visit for colds, flus or blood work. But I will be changing doctors after this frustrating experience.

5.0 star star star star starDr. J. is the only doctor I've been associated with that really listens to me, cares about my personal health and is very pleasant. He makes me feel comfortable while making sure I am involved in my health care.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
