5.0 star star star star starBecause he’s simply the best I’ve never have a doctor like him. He is so intelligent and so compassionate with his patience. I’m just so blessed to have him as my doctor, and you are blessed to have him as a part of Northwestern.

2.0 star star star_border star_border star_borderI had an EKG prior to him coming in. He never examined me and was dismissive of the symptoms I tried to explain to him. He spent less than 5 minutes with me and pretty much told me that I simply needed to get my body to calm down after several illnesses. As I type I’m in the ER at Edward Hospital and about to be admitted for heart failure and a blood clot. I tried to tell him I was in trouble but he didn’t hear me.

5.0 star star star star starDr Kumar was patient and I never felt hurried when we met prior to the procedure. He gave me his cell # in case I had concerns or questions during the evaluation process, which impressed me. The actual surgery went according to plan and the after-care in the hospital was excellent

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
