Advanced Care and Local Convenience

When it comes to health care, convenience counts—whether you need a routine physical or specialized care. At Northwestern Medicine Regional Medical Group, you’ll find an easy-to-access network of physicians and locations close to home, one created exclusively to bring you and your family a high level of medical care. Our goal is excellent care and service, and we welcome your feedback.

New patients

New patients should arrive at least 15 minutes early so that paperwork can be completed prior to your appointment. Please bring a list of your current medications, including prescriptions and over the counter medications, your preferred pharmacy information and any immunization records for your child.

At Northwestern Medicine Regional Medical Group, we continually strive to provide excellent care and service to all our patients. That’s why forms are provided online for patients to fill out at their convenience before an appointment or when requesting medical records.

Communicating with your Provider

Northwestern Medicine Regional Medical Group recognizes the need for patients to have complete access to care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We have nurses and physicians available to speak with you regarding your health concerns at all hours of the day. We strongly encourage you to use the MyNM Patient Portal to communicate with your provider care team for non-urgent matters. This method of communication allows you to store and retain your messages for later reference. It is important to stress that if you are experiencing chest pain, shortness of breath or another medical emergency, please call 911.

Phone Calls and Answering Service

If you are experiencing potentially life-threatening issues such as chest pain, shortness of breath, uncontrollable bleeding, loss of vision or slurred speech, please call 911. For all other issues, or to schedule an appointment, please call your physician's office directly during their regular office hours. Your physician's office number can be found on their individual physician profile. Call volume is highest on Monday mornings and Fridays. Please make all routine calls on other days, or use the MyNM Patient Portal to send non-urgent messages to your care team.

There is a physician on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week to answer your questions if needed.

After-Hours, Weekend & Holiday Care

Minor illnesses and injuries don't always happen according to your physician's office schedule. Northwestern Medicine Immediate Care makes treatment of these unexpected minor injuries and illnesses easily accessible for you and your family. Our seven locations throughout the western suburbs offer comprehensive, compassionate care close to your home, school and office.

Lab Testing

We encourage patients to have labwork done at HealthLab, part of Northwestern Medicine, a full-service lab owned and operated by Northwestern Medicine, and in-network provider for most major medical insurance plans.
