Northwestern Medicine Regional Medical Group offers board-certified otolaryngologists, a board-certified allergy and immunology specialist and an audiologist dedicated to diagnosing and treating a range of ENT, allergy, immunology, audiology and facial plastic surgery needs.
Our new clinic offers 11 state-of-the-art exam rooms, two procedure rooms and an audiology booth to provide hearing tests, hearing aid orientation and diagnostics. Patient-friendly hours are available to meet the needs of those who need allergy shots or hearing aid adjustments before or after work.

Hearing Aid Dispensary
The ENT, Allergy and Audiology Clinic at Central DuPage Hospital has opened a new hearing aid dispensary to assist those adults who could benefit from using a hearing aid. Audiologists Laura Spinelli, AuD, and Laura Buskirk, AuD, provide clinical support with diagnostic testing in the same office as the otolaryngologists, and work with patients to determine what hearing aid will best fit their needs.
Meet Our Care Team
Seth Kay, MD
Dr. Kay received his medical degree from Loyola University of Chicago Stritch School of Medicine. He completed a residency in Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery at Loyola University Medical Center and is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology. He also completed an Endocrine Surgery Fellowship at Augusta University Medical Center accredited through the American Head & Neck Society. His special interests include minimally invasive thyroid and parathyroid surgery. He performs in-office ultrasound, including FNA of thyroid nodules and other neck masses, as well as ultrasound guided alcohol ablations of thyroid cysts.
Riddhi Patel, MD
Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery
Dr. Patel received her medical degree from University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, and completed a residency in Otolaryngology at University of Chicago Medical Center. She is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology, and is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology. Dr. Patel's clinical interests include general otolaryngology, ear infections, hearing loss, nose/sinus issues, salivary gland issues, hoarseness, swallowing issues and pediatrics. She is multilingual, speaking English, Spanish and Gujarati.
Patrick Simon, MD
Facial Plastic Surgery
Dr. Simon received his medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine. He completed a residency in Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery. He went on to complete an American Academy of Facial Plastics and Reconstructive Surgery accredited fellowship in Facial Plastic Surgery at the New York Head and Neck Institute, and served as a clinical instructor at both Lenox Hill Hospital and Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital. Following his training, he began his practice at the Southern California Head and Neck Medical Group in Santa Monica, California. He has since returned to the Midwest to continue his practice.
Dr. Simon practices all aspects of facial plastic surgery including rhinoplasty, blepharoplasty, facelifts, brow lifts and facial reconstructive surgery. Additionally, he maintains his otolaryngology practice with a special interest in sinus surgery, balloon sinuplasty and nasal airway reconstruction.
Farheen Mirza, MD
Dr. Mirza received her medical degree from Rush University Medical Center, where she also completed her residency. She completed a fellowship at University of Iowa, and is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Allergy and Immunology. Dr. Mirza is a member of the American Academy of Allergy, American College of Allergy and Illinois Society of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. Her clinical interests include allergic rhinitis, allergy testing, asthma, food allergy, hives and sinusitis. She is multilingual, speaking English, Hindi and Urdu.
Laura Buskirk, Au.D., CCC-A
Dr. Buskirk received her Doctorate in Audiology from Illinois State University. Her clinical interests include diagnostic hearing evaluations and adult hearing aids. Dr. Buskirk has experience with all of the main hearing aid manufacturers and provides her patients with the latest and most appropriate technologies. She enjoys working with her patients and their families to develop an individualized treatment plan. She is a member of the American Academy of Audiology and the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA).
Laura Spinelli, Au.D., CCC-A
Dr. Spinelli received her Master's degree in Audiology from Northern Illinois University and her Doctorate in Audiology from A.T. Still University (ATSU), Arizona School of Health Sciences. She has over 30 years of experience as an audiologist. Her clinical interests include adult hearing aids, hearing conservation and tinnitus retraining therapy. From the latest hearing aid technologies and accessories to items such as custom swim plugs, ear protection and musician ear plugs, Dr. Spinelli aims to develop solutions for patients that fit their lifestyle and improve their quality of life. She is a member of the American Academy of Audiology and the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA).
